Talking Tattoos -  Becs

Today is one of the most famous dates, 31st of October, Halloween Day! We brought this theme into our last post, exploring a bit of Halloween’s history and how tattoos are connected to this season. Many artists join in the spirit, creating themed flash days and bringing spooky inspiration to life.

In today’s Talking Tattoos, we’re chatting with one of our sponsored artists, Becs, who shares her story, her style, and her love for Halloween. Let’s see what she’s brought to us!

Meet Becs

“Hi, I’m Becs. I’m based in a quaint town called Frome in Somerset.”

Becs’ journey began long before tattooing; she first trained in theatrical and media makeup, specializing in body painting, which naturally led her into the world of tattoos.

Today, her work blends folklore and witchy, nature-based etching, mainly in black and grey, capturing that perfect balance between mystery and beauty.

“As a self-confessed practicing witch who runs a small witchcraft emporium, this time of year is my favourite. I’ve always been drawn to it from a young age. I love anything spooky, ghostie, etc.”

For Becs, October isn’t just a season, it’s a source of inspiration. From her little ghostie greeting cards to her bottled spirits (a flash day favourite), every creation carries a touch of magic.

“It just seems a heavy inspiration. My mystical/folklore energy comes from reading a lot about local folklore and about the goddesses connected with witchcraft  and I have the most inspiring friends who drive me to be creative too!”

Inside Becs’ Studio

Becks tattooing in her studio, dressed as a ghost for Halloween
Becs’ studio is an experience on its own! A welcoming, creative, and scent-filled space that feels both sacred and alive. She uses natural reed diffusers and calming scents (often from her own emporium) to keep the atmosphere grounded and relaxing for clients.
“Oh, I mean I use Halloween vibe products all year round in the studio, I love me a skull ink cap and always get comments on them!”

And she even has a few product ideas for us tattoo suppliers ....

“The majority of my products have skulls or pumpkins somewhere on them.
We need skull-printed cling film and pumpkin spice tattoo glide now.
