Apex Cartridges - Hollow Liner (HL) Tattoo Needles

Hollow round liner grouping

Needles arranged around an open centre for artists who prefer a hollow liner configuration.

0.35mm needle diameter

All three sizes use #12 gauge needles.

Stainless steel needles

Made with stainless steel needle points for professional tattooing.

Safety membrane

An integrated membrane helps prevent ink and fluid backflow towards the machine.

Cheyenne-style fitting

Compatible with machines and grips that accept standard Cheyenne-style cartridges.

Individually packed

EO-gas sterilised and individually blister packed for single use.

An open-centre arrangement

HRL stands for Hollow Round Liner. The hollow refers to the space at the centre of the needle grouping, not to the individual needle points.

A different lining option

The arrangement offers an alternative to a conventional round liner when choosing the feel and character of your outlines.

Choosing your line weight

Needle count alone does not determine the finished line width. Grouping, taper, machine setup and technique all influence the result.

1207HRL

7 Hollow Round Liner – 0.35mm.

1208HRL

8 Hollow Round Liner – 0.35mm.

1210HRL

10 Hollow Round Liner – 0.35mm.

Each box contains one selected configuration.

Traditional outlines

Consider hollow liners when planning prominent outlines that give a design its structure.

Illustrative linework

Build contrast between stronger outer contours and finer internal details.

Lettering and graphic designs

An option for artists exploring confident borders and heavier line weights.

Select your configuration and settings to suit the artwork, placement and your working technique.

What does HRL mean?

HRL means Hollow Round Liner, describing a circular needle grouping with an open centre.

Does a hollow liner leave a hollow line?

No. The name describes the needle arrangement, not an intended gap in the finished line.

How do I choose between 7, 8 and 10 HRL?

Choose according to your preferred grouping and the line weight you want to create. Test your setup on practice skin when getting familiar with a new configuration.

Can I buy a mixed box?

This listing supplies 20 cartridges of one selected size per box.
